NFL Opening Weekend at Circa Sports: My First Vegas Trip
Hi, I’m Lucy, the newest member of the Winners Circle Proxy crew, and this past weekend I found myself in Las Vegas for the very first time. Not to hit the casinos and stripclubs, but to jump headfirst into the NFL opening weekend at Circa Sports. Going in, I knew I’d be learning a ton of information very quickly, so thank goodness to our fellow proxy girls for bringing me under their wing and teaching me. I figured out how to sign someone up from start to finish pretty quickly, and by the end of the weekend it felt like second nature.
Deadline Day Chaos
Still, there were moments that tested me. Picture this: it’s 1:30pm on Saturday, WCP entries close at 2:00pm. I was the only proxy girl left at Circa Sportsbook and suddenly every contestant in the building wanted to sign up at once. Did I panic? Absolutely not, no time, I became Usain Bolt with a clipboard. Sprinting back and forth, checking IDs, finalizing entries… and yes, every single one of you guys got signed up before the deadline. That’s the WCP guarantee - we get it done.
The thing that struck me most, though, wasn’t just the chaos of the deadlines. It was the atmosphere. Circa during opening weekend is electric, everyone buzzing with energy, cheering, laughing, nervously talking strategy. We don’t just meet you guys and sign you up, we honestly become a little family in the process. If I had the chance to meet you or sign you up this weekend, I wish you the best of luck this season. And if we didn’t cross paths, let me just say: you should really consider making the trip down next year. There’s nothing like experiencing Circa Sports in person.
Special Shoutouts
Of course, I’ve got to give some love to the familiar faces who made opening weekend even better. John, Scott, and Bird, the Bobby Prize winners from last year, came back for another shot at victory, and the energy they bring is unreal. Then there was Dale Obirek, our WCP × VSiN Circa Millions giveaway winner. Dale didn’t just claim his free entry, he instantly became part of the family. He made sure I always had the best content, and let me tell you, the camera absolutely loved him.
Docuseries
To really get the full experience of the Circa contests of course I had to sign up for Circa Survivor. A lot of you guys over the weekend were telling me to change my pick last minute but I stuck to it and I live to see another week. Fingers crossed it stays that way. I also had the opportunity to get interviewed for the docuseries that will be capturing all the madness of the Circa contests. It’s such a cool way to highlight the community around these contests, and if you were hanging around opening weekend, don’t be surprised if you see yourself pop up on screen.
Lions vs. Packers - The Booth Showdown
We wrapped the weekend in style, with a big booth at Circa for the Packers vs Lions game. Now, as a Lions fan, sitting across from Dave Bartman, who was literally rocking a Packers blazer, was a bit painful. I had my Lions hat on, holding my ground as best I could, but by the end of the game the hat was gone… kind of like the Lions’ chance at winning. Pain. Still, the energy in that room was worth it, and we carried the celebration up to Stadium Swim afterward. It was my first time seeing it, and wow, what a football paradise. Giant screens, poolside vibes, surrounded by fans, it’s the kind of place you never want to leave.
Final Thoughts
Looking back, I couldn’t have asked for a better first Vegas trip. The rush, the people, the games, the late nights, it all just confirmed for me how special this community is. Winners Circle Proxy isn’t just about signing forms and handling logistics, it’s about being part of something bigger, cheering for each other, and making sure every contestant feels taken care of. I’m so grateful I got to be part of it all this year, and I can’t wait to see how the season unfolds.
To everyone I met this weekend, thank you for the warm welcome. To those I haven’t met yet, hopefully I’ll see you at Circa next season. Stay tuned to the blog for more updates, stories, and maybe a few victory laps along the way.
