When people hear about the Circa Million football contest, the $1 million first-place prize gets most of the attention. But one of the best features of Circa Million VIII in 2026 is something that can easily get overlooked.

You don’t have to win the contest to win money.

Unlike a winner-take-all football contest, Circa Million pays cash prizes to the top 100 finishers in the full-season standings. That gives contestants plenty to play for throughout the entire NFL season—even if first place starts to get out of reach.

$6 Million in Guaranteed Circa Million Prize Money

Circa Million VIII features $6 million in guaranteed prizes for the 2026 NFL season.

The contest costs $1,000 per entry, and contestants make five NFL picks against the spread each week. A correct pick earns one point, a push earns a half-point, and an incorrect selection earns zero points.  At the end of the season, the contestant with the most points takes home the biggest prize:

1st Place: $1,000,000

But the money doesn't stop there.  Circa has allocated at least $3.65 million in cash prizes for contestants finishing 2nd through 100th in the full-season standings.  That means 100 different finishing positions can earn full-season prize money.

Circa Million 2026 Top 10 Payouts

The payouts near the top of the Circa Million VIII standings are substantial:

• 1st Place: $1,000,000
• 2nd Place: $500,000
• 3rd Place: $400,000
• 4th Place: $350,000
• 5th Place: $300,000
• 6th Place: $250,000
• 7th Place: $200,000
• 8th Place: $150,000
• 9th Place: $100,000
• 10th Place: $90,000
• 11th–100th Places: $1.31 million in total prize money

The full-season prize pool totals $4.8 million, including special prizes for last and second-to-last place.

That payout structure changes the way contestants can look at the season. You don't necessarily need to finish No. 1 to have a successful Circa Million entry.

Why Paying the Top 100 Makes Circa Million Different

Circa Million is a season-long NFL picks contest, and there will inevitably be good weeks and bad weeks.  A 2-3 week doesn't automatically end your season.  You can bounce back.

That's an important difference between Circa Million and Circa Survivor. In a survivor contest, one incorrect selection can eliminate an entry. In Circa Million, every week provides another opportunity to move up the standings.

Even if you're not in contention for the $1 million grand prize late in the season, moving from outside the top 100 into a cashing position can still give you plenty to play for.  And if you're already inside the top 100, every correct pick can potentially move you into a higher-paying position.

You Can Also Win Money During the Season

The top-100 payouts aren't the only opportunities to cash.  Circa Million VIII also features $1.2 million in quarterly prizes, with $300,000 awarded during each of four portions of the NFL season.

For each quarter, the prizes are:

1st: $150,000
2nd: $60,000
3rd: $40,000
4th: $15,000
5th: $10,000

There is also a $25,000 quarterly last-place "booby prize."  That means you don't necessarily need to dominate the entire 18-week NFL season to win money. Put together an outstanding four- or five-week stretch, and you could find yourself competing for a significant quarterly prize.
